UNIVERSITY
The
Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar
was established by an Act of Legislation of Haryana State on
October 20th, 1995 to facilitate and promote studies and research
in emerging areas of higher education.
It is named after Guru Jambheshwar, a saint, environmentalist
of 15th century. The University has grown to its full size and
stature within a short span of 8 years.
The
University Grant Commission (UGC) recognized this University
under Section 2 (f) for the recognition of the degrees on January
11th 1996.
The University has been accredited with "A"
grade (Institutional Score 85%) by National Assessment &
Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2002 for the period of 5 years.
