PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (PTU)
PTU at Jalandhar was established by an act of State Legislature on 16th Jan 1997, to promote Technical, Management & Pharmaceutical education at the Degree level and above. Being the educational and research university, it has the mandate to set up centres of Excellence in Emerging Technologies and for promoting Training, Research & Development in these areas.
In a country like India, PTU is an established and recognized mode of education, which is in consonance with changing socio-economic needs and emerging demands of the knowledge era. The University has a mission to provide excellent education to the PTU students and make the affiliated Learning Centers as center of excellence.

GURU JAMBHESHWAR UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (GJU S&T)
The University is in the name of 15th Century environmentalist Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj.
The University was established on 20th October 1995 by an act of legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives to promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new technology and modern management studies. Since then the University has grown in stature. Due to its excellent performance, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an autonomous organization of University Grant Commission (UGC) has conferred 'A' level.
The University is recognized by UGC under section 2(F) & section 12(B) of UGC Act. Also the joint committee of UGC-AICTE-DEC has given recognition to this University.

All India Management Association
The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in 1957. AIMA is a group- a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial ethos, an organization to facilitate the furtherance of the management profession in the country.
AIMA is represented on a number of policy making bodies of the Government of India and a number of National bodies / organizations. Some important ones are as under:
- All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which is the apex regulatory body for professional education in the country under the
- Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India.
- Council of Institute of Applied Manpower Research
